A handful of prisoners on Illumina lead a revolt against Ming's saurial guards and their robot overseers.
Seeking to escape the radioactive
mines in which they've been toiling our heroes encounter
Hercules battling the gigantic Lamia whom Illumina's serpent people worship as the goddess-consort to Ming. Joining
forces with the Olympian demi-god, they prevail against a vastly superior force of ophidians, robots and mutant Overlords.
According to Hercules our heroes are dreaming. Though disbelieving, our heroes discover themselves on one of Mongo's small moons in the underground lair of the Spider People.
Having proved their veracity via mind-probe
our heroes help the Spider People defeat the invading Gremloks, cementing their alliance against Ming the Merciless.
There is much rejoicing! Hercules is
proclaimed the Chosen One. Much as he would like to stay Hercules locates
his divine companions and must complete the monumental task assigned to them by Athena.
On Mongo a rocketship crashes. The survivors, Flash Gordon, Dale Arden and Dr. Zarkoff continue their own legendary
adventure.
