Books related to our current campaigns and a
wide range of RPG related materials are won, given away and/or traded in each and every Mythic RPG session. This tradition
began with our very first Mythic RPG one-shot in 2005 and is still going strong.
And in February 2008 this tradition has become even stronger. I am honored
to announce that Hercules Invictus is now a bona fide BookMooch Charity. Being recognized as a Charity on BookMooch allows
us to aquire many more books to distribute to the participants in our Hero Program. We piloted this program with our Mythic
RPG and DM Academy with phenomenal results.
BookMooch, the brainchild of John Buckman, is a global community of
online book swappers. The mechanic is simple: offer the books you no longer wish to keep to other BookMoochers and request
the books you want to aquire from them. You receive 1 point for every 10 books you've listed, 1 point for each of your books
requested and 1 point for every 10 feedback comments on books you've received. The only fees involved are postage fees.
You can also gift points to other BookMoochers. And this is how the Charity operates:
BookMoochers who wish to support what we are doing can donate points to Hercules Invictus and with these points we can request
books for our programs.
