I am also honored to present the work of Douglas Sunlin, whose
creative and practical efforts have brilliantly bridged the gap between the shining kingdoms of Hyboria and our own day and
age.

The Free Companions
In the Hyborian Age, dreamed
by Robert E. Howard and inhabited by Conan the Barbarian, The Free Companions were a band of hard-bitten mercenaries, a band
of rootless warriors from every nation, swords for hire, grim-faced freebooters! Imagine that we have discovered a mystical
doorway into another dimension, which leads into the Hyborian Age. We must train ourselves for entry into this portal and
there join the Free Companions. Who would dare join us in this adventure!?
If you are lucky enough to read Robert
E. Howard's blazing tales of adventure featuring the bloody-handed Conan the Cimmerian, perhaps simply reading the yarns is
not good enough for you. How do you celebrate and explore this world? Video games? 20-year-old movies? If you're like me,
you visualize Conan himself at your back, urging you to put your boots in the dust, get outside and swing a sword around in
your backyard...
The Barbarian Athlete
Here begins an experiment in athletic
endeavor, drawing inspiration from Robert E. Howard's fictional character Conan, especially his fighting style and his special
qualities of strength, power, speed, agility and quickness.
Can a conditioning program develop a warrior-athlete with prowess approximating
Conan's?
Join us and find out.
