Thongor of Valkarth confronted the Dragon Kings on the Mountains of Thunder and prevented the Hour of the Opening of Space. The priestcraft of ancient Lemuria taught their descendants that the last of the Dragon Kings died on that day.

But they lived on. Millenia later:

Kull of Atlantis drove the shape shifting Snake-Headed Men out of Valusia, the crown jewel of the Thurian continent. They retreated underground and the patriarchs of  pre-cataclysmic times declared that they had been driven into extinction - if not by Kull then by the Great Flood.

But they lived on. Millenia later:

Conan of Cimmeria, during his reign as King of Aquilonia, dealt the Serpent People a crippling blow in their last remaining citadel at the Edge of the World in prehistoric Africa. Nemedian scholars declared that the spine of the Dragon Kings was irreparably broken.

Yet the Serpents that walk like men live on, even onto our own day.

And from the depths of Golamira Epimetrius the Sage still sounds his timeless Call.

Have you heard it? Will you heed it?
